LEAP Türkiye, Dünya Çevre Günü dolayısıyla Kadın ve Demokrasi Vakfı (KADEM) işbirliğiyle çevre koruma bilincini artırma ve sürdürülebilir bir gelecek için önemli bir adım attı.
Avrupa Birliği’nin İnsani Yardım Kurumu ve Alman Hükümeti tarafından desteklenen “Çorum’daki Mültecilerin ve Ev Sahibi Toplumun Hassas Üyelerinin Direncinin Artırılması ve Barış İçinde Bir Arada Yaşamanın Teşvik Edilmesi” Projesi kapsamında LEAP ve KADEM, Çorum’da dikkat çekici bir etkinlik düzenledi. Etkinlik, çevre girişimlerini vurgulamanın yanısıra kadına yönelik şiddet ve şiddetin raporlanması ve koruma mekanizmaları hakkında farkındalığın yaygınlaştırılmasına da odaklandı.
Ekibimiz, toplu çabayla elde edilebilecek büyümeyi ve dayanıklılığı simgelemesi adına şehrin çeşitli yerlerine farklı bitki ve tohumlar ekti. Etkinlik, toplumu sürece dahil etmeyi ve sürdürülebilir kalkınmayı teşvik ederken çevreyi koruma ve muhafaza etme konusunda daha kararlı adımlar atılmasını amaçladı.
LEAP ve KADEM’in çabalarını bir araya getiren etkinlik, çevrenin korunması ile özellikle cinsiyete dayalı şiddet gibi sosyal konular arasındaki hayati bağlantıyı başarılı bir şekilde vurguladı. Ekiplerimiz katılımcılara, kadınlar için daha güvenli bir ortam oluşturulmasının, eşitlik ve saygı kültürünün geliştirilmesinin önemini vurgulayan bilgiler aktardı.
Birlikte, önemli bir etki yaratabilir ve daha yeşil ve uyumlu bir dünyanın yolunu açabiliriz.

LEAP and KADEM Join Forces on World Environment Day to Promote Sustainable Future
In celebration of World Environment Day, LEAP Türkiye, in collaboration with the Women and Democracy Foundation (KADEM), took a significant step towards raising awareness about environmental conservation and promoting a sustainable future.
As part of the “Increasing Resilience of Refugees and Vulnerable Host Community Members and Fostering Peaceful Co-Existence in Çorum” project, supported by the European Union Humanitarian Aid and the German Government, LEAP and KADEM organized a remarkable activity in Çorum. The event not only emphasised environmental initiatives but also the pressing issue of violence against women including the mechanisms for reporting and protection.
The teams embarked on a mission to plant diverse plants and seeds throughout the city, symbolizing the growth and resilience of a collective effort. This initiative aimed to engage the community and inspiring them to take decisive action in safeguarding and conserving the environment while promoting sustainable development.
By uniting the efforts of LEAP Türkiye and KADEM, the event successfully highlighted the vital connection between environmental conservation and social issues, specifically gender-based violence. The teams disseminated essential information to the public, stressing the importance of creating a safer environment for women and promoting cultivating a culture of equality and respect.
Together, we have the power to make a significant impact and pave the way for a greener and more harmonious world.
